Schlepping Joy
The kind or creative act that lifts your soul, your outlook, need not be spectacular. It may not even be deliberate. But I find that when I just give head space to thinking about nice things I’ve experienced, and how they came about, those heart-filling moments breed more.
Yesterday I was late driving somewhere. But I let another car cut in front. We all generally do this, right? Then I wondered if I had inconvenienced those waiting behind me. Had I messed up their schedule when we all missed the green light?
Overthinking? For sure—which messes with my energy, schedule and other life elements that get me through the day. But I just let it happen and went on with mysteriously more peace and energy. The seconds of easy cooperation and accomplishments crazily multiplied. Along with my peace and wellbeing.
My favorite kind of joy.
